Depart on your 9-day custom performance tour of Uruguay & Argentina! Dinner and breakfast are served onboard your flight.

Arrive in Colonia and meet your tour manager. Colonia is the only Portuguese settlement along the Rio del la Plata, and now serves as both resort and port city to the region’s rich agricultural trade. Reminiscent of Old Lisbon, Colonia features winding cobblestone streets and colorful homes, and is home to a UNESCO heritage historic district—Barrio Historico. Check in at the hotel and take time to unpack and rest. This evening, there will be an orientation with your tour manager and dinner at a local restaurant.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, provided for you each morning of your tour. After breakfast, take a guided sightseeing tour of this Portuguese fortress city that was founded in the 17th century. There is free time for lunch on your own, followed by a rehearsal. This evening features your South American concert debut! Celebrate your first performance tonight with dinner at a local restaurant.

Journey across the Rio del Plata this morning to the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Enjoy city sightseeing this afternoon to introduce you to this European-influenced city known as the Paris of South America! Highlights include the Plaza de Mayo, the “Pink House,” the Metropolitan Cathedral, the famous Teatro Colon opera house, Congress Hall and the fashionable Recoleta area with its cemetery where Evita is buried. This evening features dinner and a Tango Show, complete with local musicians and dancers.

Begin the day with an excursion to the neighborhoods of San Telmo and La Boca, a colorful traditional neighborhood that is famous for tango in the streets! You will also visit the famous Cafe Tortoniâ ”the oldest coffee shop in the country has a rich history, having been visited throughout history by artists, intellectuals, and politicians. Scheduled for this afternoon is a master class at your hotel, led by a local musical professional. Tonight strap on your dancing shoes for a Tango lesson! Dinner is served at a local restaurant.

Today you will travel to Los Cardales for a tour of the Estancia Santa Susana, and a “Fiesta Gaucha” party at a traditional ranch. Covering 3,000 acres, this site is dedicated to agriculture. After a traditional criollas meal, you will enjoy a folklore show, visit to the museum and ride by horseback through this impressive landscape. Return to Buenos Aires for dinner.

After breakfast, you will visit Florida Street to shop for souvenirs along one of the city’s premier retail districts, known for its excellent leather, suede, wool knits, and jewelry. This afternoon, visit the Museo Evita; each room in the museum chronicles a story of how Eva Perone matured into the incredible proponent of human rights and equality for women for which she is famous. Tonight, prepare for your concert finale! Afterwards, enjoy an Empanada dinner party at your hotel!

Your final breakfast is served this morning at the hotel, prior to your check-out. Enjoy your final day in Buenos Aires! Your tour managers will provide suggestions for free time activities, and the tour coach is at your disposal. You might decide to spend the afternoon at Parque Tres de Febrero and take advantage of the activities there: boat rides on the lakes, poet’s garden, planetarium, Eduardo Sivori Plastic Arts Museum, Planetario Galileo Galilei, Japanese Gardens, Zoological Gardens, Rose and Botanical Gardens. Lunch and dinner are under your own arrangements today. Later today, transfer to the airport for your overnight flight back to the United States.
