Arrive in Barcelona and spend the next 3 days absorbing the sights, sounds and tastes of this lively Catalan capital. Wander the old Gothic Quarter, visit the still-unfinished Sagrada Familia, explore the waterfront and present your first concert. From Barcelona you'll head west through the heart of Spain to Madrid where you'll visit the world-famous Prado Museum, have some free time to explore the city and take a trip to beautiful Segovia for your second performance. After returning to Madrid, you'll head south to Seville with its immense Gothic Cathedral where you'll have your final concert. A high-speed train ride has you quickly back in Madrid where you'll have a farewell dinner following a sightseeing stop in Toledo.

Itinerary

DAY 1: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT

Depart from the USA.

DAY 2: BARCELONA

Upon arrival in Barcelona, you will be met by your Encore Tour Manager. Transfer to your hotel for check in and time to relax before dinner.

DAY 3: BARCELONA

Morning sightseeing of Barcelona with a local guide includes entrances to the Gothic Cathedral and Parc Güell. The afternoon is free to explore the waterfront or stroll the chic Passeig de Gràcia. This evening the ensemble will present its first formal concert.

DAY 4: BARCELONA

Enjoy a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter. The narrow cobbled streets, peaceful squares and towering old buildings that characterize it were at times home to both Picasso and Joan Miró. Or instead opt to take a full-day excursion along the Costa Brava featuring a visit to the Salvador Dalí museum in Figueras.

DAY 5: MADRID

Today take the high-speed train to Madrid! Upon arrival, explore your new surroundings before dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 6: MADRID

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Madrid, highlighting the Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace and the Plaza Mayor. Visit the Prado Museum to see the works of exceptional artists such as Goya and El Greco. Spend the free afternoon shopping, sightseeing or strolling through Retiro Park.

DAY 7: MADRID

Discover more at your own pace in the morning. Then take an afternoon excursion to Segovia to see the multi-story Roman aqueduct. After dinner at a local restaurant, the ensemble will perform a concert in Segovia before returning to Madrid.

DAY 8: SEVILLE

Journey to Córdoba for sightseeing, including a tour of the 8th century Mezquita with its striped arches and 4000 lamps. Continue to Seville to enjoy dinner and an evening flamenco show.

DAY 9: SEVILLE

Discover Andalucía's prettiest city on a morning sightseeing tour, including the immense Gothic Cathedral, Giralda Tower and the Alcazar. Enjoy a typical Spanish lunch, included today instead of dinner, before preparing for your final performance. This evening is your concert finale.

DAY 10: MADRID

Check out of your hotel and board the AVE high-speed train to Madrid—you'll be back in Spain's capital in a mere 2.5 hours! It's a short drive to Toledo for sightseeing including the Church of Santo Tomé. Return to Madrid for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 11: RETURN TO THE USA

Depart for the USA.
