Board bus and depart for New York. Arrive in Times Square and meet your Encore Tour manager upon arrival. Enjoy some free time for shopping and browsing. This evening have dinner at a local restaurant and be dazzled by the lights of a Broadway show (pending availability). Afterwards check in to your hotel in nearby Secaucus NJ.
Today's highlight will be your participation in the adjudicated Festivals of Music. Your ensemble will have the opportunity to perform and be evaluated by an expert panel of music educators. Later today, take a guided tour of iconic Central Park before enjoying a wonderful group dinner followed by a New York Philharmonic concert (pending availability).
This morning visit the 9/11 Museum and Memorial and learn more about the events of that infamous day. After having lunch on your own, visit St. Patrick's Cathedral, a beautiful Gothic cathedral built in the late 1800s and more recently a focal point for remembrance following the events of September 11th. Afterwards, get a bird's eye view of the city and travel up to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. First explore the Mezzanine Deck to absorb its many photos and artifacts illustrating how Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock came about, which heightens your appreciation of this visit, before gazing out at the expansive city all around you. Tonight, take a special Statue of Liberty dinner cruise around New York Harbor. Experience the best views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines including world-famous sights like the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, One World Trade Center and more (pending confirmation). Your cruise includes onboard entertainment with DJ music, access to shared spaces and interactive games.
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel this morning. Start your day with a tour of Ellis Island to learn about the over 12 million immigrants that made their way through this historic site. Then head to see the Statue of Liberty where you climb to the top of the pedestal. Afterwards board your buses for the return trip to home.
