Rudolfinum – Prague, Czech Republic The Rudolfinum, Prague Dominique Cappronnier – Prague, Rudolfinum. Organ. This beautiful Neo-Renaissance Hall in the heart of Prague is one of the oldest concert halls in Europe. Built in the late 1800’s, the structure contributed greatly to the development of Czechoslovakia as it housed the seat of the state parliment during the world wars. Today it is home to the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, many classical concerts, and is one of the main venues of the Prague Spring International Music Festival. It’s excellent acoustics make it a wonderful venue for symphony orchestras. Mozarteum – Salzburg, Vienna Andreas Praefcke – Salzburg, Mozarteum, Großer Saal, Außenansicht zur Schwarzstraße Douglas Whitaker – Salzburg Mozarteum The concert hall is located under the gaze of the Hohensalzburg Fortress in the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, a school specializing in the arts. It is suitable for choirs and orchestras and features a new 50 stop tracker action organ, installed in 2010! Vigado Hall – Budapest, Hungary József – Vigadó Concert Hall, Budapest Vigadó – Globetrotter19 Attila Terbócs – The Pest Redoute in Budapest Vigadó – Globetrotter19 Vigado Concert Hall is the second largest concert hall in Budapest. Created in a truly Hungarian style, it opened its doors in 1865 as a house for concerts, exhibitions, balls, dance evenings and other events. It’s location in the heart of the city makes it a wonderful venue for attracting large enthusiastic audiences. Palau de la Musica – Valencia, Spain Sento – El Palacio de la Música, en Valencia The Palau de la Música de València is a concert hall in València, Spain that is located situated on the Riu Túria (Turia River). It is home to the Orchestra of Valencia; the city’s municipal orchestra which was founded 1943. Designed by José María de Paredes, winner of the National Architecture Award, the Palau is regarded as one of the city’s most emblematic buildings and is often considered to be among the most important concert halls in Europe. This gorgeous venue has incredible acoustics, and would be an ideal location for any touring orchestra. Teatro Mancinelli – Orvieto, Italy Davide Papalini – Teatro Mancinelli, Orvieto, Umbria, Italia Inaugurated in 1866 and named after the composer and director Luigi Mancinelli from Orvieto, Mancinelli Theatre, after a long complete restoration, was reopened to the public in 1993. Of great worth is the curtain decorated by the painter Cesare Fracassini. This beautiful round theatre offers a setting of great prestige characterized by excellent acoustics. The Foyer, completely frescoed, extremely elegant and multifunctional, is situated on the third floor and it can hold from 40 to 150 people. The stalls are able to accommodate up to 164 people. The four floors of boxes can take up to 322 people. Teatro Colon – Buenos Aires, Argentina Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires – Teatro Colon Teatro Colón is the main opera house in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is among the top five venues in the world with the best acoustics – even Pavarotti thought so! The theater opened in May of 1908 with Verdi’s Aida and has up to 2,500 seats and standing room for 1,000 people. Liszt Academy – Budapest, Hungary The Franz Liszt Music Academy is not only a music hall, but also a renowned architectural jewel in the beautiful city of Budapest. It was founded on November 14, 1875 and is home to the Liszt Collection, which features several valuable books and manuscripts donated by Franz Liszt upon his death.
