We’re thrilled about the return of travel, and it’s an amazing feeling to once again have our groups performing in fantastic international venues! Our staff is dedicated to delivering fully customizable performance tours to destinations around the world, and there’s nothing we find more satisfying than assembling a diverse collection of people who want to share in the universal language of music. Recently, one of our groups performed at St. Agnese, a beautiful seventeenth-century Baroque church in Rome, Italy. The church has always served as a cultural gathering point for the city, with concerts throughout the year, but this year the crowd seemed particularly appreciative to come together and share in the language of music. After the past two years, we know that there’s a lot of pent-up demand for travel, and people are itching to get back out on the road. We also know there are real concerns about what international travel may look like in 2022. That’s why we wanted to share a few tidbits about our latest trips as well as the feedback from our wonderful group leaders. As our first groups landed overseas, it was hard to know who was more excited to travel—the directors and their ensembles or our amazing tour managers who thrive on sharing their culture with our groups. That excitement was obviously felt by one of our group leaders, who said the following about his tour manager: “I can’t say enough good things about Peter. He made this trip so incredibly special and memorable. We learned so much from his commentary. The students and chaperones all loved him. He was so organized, professional, and fun.” At Encore, we also pride ourselves on having a vast international network that includes vendors, musicians, concert promoters, and so much more. These relationships allow us to offer our ensembles unique access to some of the world’s finest musical venues with guaranteed audiences. Those relationships are stronger than ever, and the international audiences have been coming out in full force! “It was a great final concert with a really good crowd!” exclaimed one of our recent group leaders. “Great concert, beautiful venue, and packed audience billed as a benefit for Ukraine, which was special,” noted another. With our new safety protocols, worry-free guarantee, and enhanced protection plans (which allows you to cancel any time up to your day of departure for any reason and receive a cash refund), all passengers can enjoy complete peace of mind from the pre-departure process all the way through their arrival back home. Most importantly, our performance tours remain a life-changing experience for group leaders and their ensembles. As one recent director said, “Thanks for the trip of a lifetime. Thanks for everything you did to make it happen for us. We are eternally grateful. I can say that I will proceed with Encore in the future with zero hesitation. We had a perfect experience!” We’re looking forward to many more amazing concerts in the coming months, and we hope to see you back on the road!
