Classic Baltics Tour

Welcome to the Baltic Region! Arrive in Riga and meet your Encore Tour Managers who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After time to relax and freshen up, you will have an arrival briefing followed by a welcome dinner together. (D)

After breakfast, included each day throughout your tour, you will have a guided sightseeing tour of Riga by bus and foot to discover excellent examples of Art Nouveau as well as the Medieval Architecture of cloisters, churches, warehouses, and lodgings. During your tour, you will see the UNESCO heritage center, a panoramic view of the President’s Palace, the unique Art Nouveau area, the Freedom Monument, and Boulevard Circle with the National Opera and Latvian University. This afternoon, enjoy a bit of free time for exploration in Riga before enjoying dinner together. (B,D)

This morning you will spend time exploring the Russian district of Riga, including the central market, with your Tour Managers. This afternoon, have time for lunch on your own before preparing for your first concert performance which will take place this evening! Dinner will be together afterwards in a local restaurant. Check out of your hotel and travel to Tallinn, Estonia, today! Upon arrival, you will have a sightseeing tour of the city’s highlights including Kadriorg Park, the Song Festival grounds and the Pirita District, all whilst learning about Estonian history and contemporary life. The walking portion of your tour covers Old Town, proceeding across Toompea Hill, stopping at the Parliament Building, Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, the Dome Church and the scenic viewpoint. It then leads you to the narrow, winding streets of the Lower Town and ends at Town Hall Square. Tallinn blends medieval tranquility and modern urban life with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B,D)

Enjoy free time exploring Tallinn this morning at your leisure. Enjoy a stroll in Tallinn’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or perhaps visit Toompea Castle to learn more about Tallinn’s storied history. Later, transfer to the next venue to set up and rehearse. Tonight, you will perform the second concert of the tour followed by dinner together! (B,D)

This morning, check out of your hotel and transfer to the Port of Tallinn where you will board your ferry to Helsinki, the capital city of Finland! After sailing across the Baltic Sea (the journey is approximately 2.5 hours), you will check into your hotel and take a guided sightseeing tour of this charming seafront capital! Helsinki was founded in the 16th century but the city you see today really took shape in the 1800s. This was when the Russians laid out Helsinki along similar lines to St. Petersburg, with its broad streets and neoclassical mansions. Enjoy dinner together this evening (B,D)

This morning, journey to Porvoo, Finland’s second-oldest town. Its historic center includes riverside warehouses that once stored goods bound for destinations across Europe. Away from the river, the cobblestoned streets are lined with charming wooden houses of every color. Return to Helsinki this afternoon where you will rehearse for tonight’s performance followed by a celebratory farewell dinner together! (B,D)
