Day 2 HELSINKI Welcome to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Meet your Tour Manager who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After an arrival briefing and orientation, enjoy your first dinner overseas in this beautiful seaside city! Day 3 HELSINKI This morning’s sightseeing tour with a local guide shows you the neighborhoods, architecture, green parks and examples of Finnish design that make Helsinki unique. This afternoon, rehearse and perform your debut concert performance of the tour! Day 4 TALLINN After breakfast, board the ferry to Tallinn. Tallinn blends medieval tranquility and modern urban life with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. Explore with your local guide as you pass through the historical Upper Town, featuring the 13th-century Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin, the oldest church in mainland Estonia. You’ll also visit the ornate, onion-domed Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, built in 1900 under Russian rule. Panorama platforms offer scenic views of the sea and the town, and a tour of Lower Town shows off its medieval merchants’ and guild buildings and Tallinn’s Gothic Town Hall. Day 5 TALLINN This morning, unlock Tallinn’s military history through touring the mysterious underground tunnel and tower complex of Kiek in de Kök and the Bastion Passages that form part of the town’s fortifications. This afternoon, rehearse and perform your second concert performance of the tour! Day 6 TARTU Board the motorcoach this morning and transfer to Tartu to discover this university town and a city of youth! The time-honored university, museum-rich, and Hanseatic city of Tartu lies on the banks of the River Emajõgi. Located in southern Estonia, it is the second largest city in the country and the oldest in the Baltic States. It is a modern city and the cradle of the Estonian Song Festival. A recital performance may be possible for your ensemble today. Day 7 RIGA This morning, board your private motorcoach and transfer to Riga, stopping en route to visit Valmiera. Enjoy a tour of Riga by bus and foot to discover excellent examples of Art Nouveau as well as the Medieval Architecture of cloisters, churches, warehouses, and lodgings. On your tour, you will see the UNESCO heritage center, a panoramic view of the President’s Palace, the unique Art Nouveau area, the Freedom Monument, and Boulevard Circle with the National Opera and Latvian University. Day 8 RIGA This morning, visit the majestic Latvian National Opera House for a “Behind the Curtains” program that offers you a unique, up-close look at the opera’s beautiful stage decorations. Architecture wonders combine with the delight of theater in this cultural experience. Riga is known for the highest concentration of Art Nouveau architecture anywhere in the world. After enjoying endless architectural examples to view outside, you will be able to explore the Latvian National Opera House and see the opera’s beautiful stage decorations up close. This afternoon, rehearse and perform your next concert performance of the tour! Day 9 VILNIUS Board your motorcoach and transfer to Vilnius this morning. A guided coach and walking tour of the area will show you the capital of Lithuania and its largest city. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Surrounded by forests and hills, this city is full of architectural wonder and home to some of the area’s most famous thinkers, writers, and artists. Tonight, rehearse and perform your final concert performance of the tour! Day 10 VILNIUS Vilnius was once nicknamed the ‘Jerusalem of the north’ but its Jewish community was largely destroyed in WWII. Learn about the history of this community and the legacy as well as Jewish art and culture during a visit to the Lithuanian Tolerance Center. Tonight, come together to celebrate your successful performance tour with a special farewell dinner together this evening. Day 11 DEPARTURE Return home.
