(D) Day 3 Athens Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Athens today to learn about the ancient history of this capital city! Included is a visit to the Acropolis as well as the Acropolis Museum, two highlights of the city. After time to explore Athens, you will prepare for your debut concert of the tour which will take place tonight at a local venue such as the Galaxias Cultural Center. Rehearsal will take place prior, followed by your performance! Enjoy dinner together tonight after the concert. (B,D) Day 4 Athens Today you will visit the incredible archaeological site of Delphi. You will see the Temple of Apollo, once home to a legendary Oracle. You will also see the ancient theater and stadium where the Pythian games took place, in addition to the Dome of the Athena Pronaia. After this fascinating visit, return to Athens for your overnight. (B,D) Day 5 Athens This morning, you might have the chance to perform an outreach concert for a local senior center in Athens. Then visit the storied city of Corinth today, which, during antiquity, was the richest city in Greece and is where Apostle Paul lived for quite some time. You will visit the Corinth Archaeological Park and Museum as well as visit the “vima” or step where Apostle Paul was led to be tried by the Roman Proconsul Galliia, who in turn refused to prosecute him. (B,D) Day 6 Cruise Today you will depart on your 3-day Aegean cruise! Your first stop on the cruise today is the beautiful island of Mykonos, where you will have some free time to enjoy this lively and beautiful island. (B,D) Day 7 Cruise Your cruise brings you to Kusadasi, Turkey today! Included is a guided tour of the Ephesus Archeaological Site. You will also see the House of Mary. Then you will transfer to the Greek island of Patmos, where you will visit the St. John Monastery and Apocaypse Grotto. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on board today. (B,L,D) Day 8 Cruise Today you will visit the island of Crete, including the Minoan Palace of Knossos in Heraklion. In the afternoon, perform your concert on board the cruise ship for your fellow passengers! Then travel to beautiful Santorini for free exploration time. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on board today. (B,L,D) Day 9 Kalambaka Depart for Meteora, an incredible geological region made of giant rocks soaring into the air. What is even more amazing are the monasteries that were built on top of the rocks! You will have the opportunity to visit one of the monasteries and explore this beautiful and unique place. Continue to Kalambaka for dinner and the overnight. (B,D) Day 10 Thessaloniki This morning, depart for Thessaloniki. En route, visit for Veria, one of the cities where Apostle Paul visited and taught. Here you will visit the “Bema” or the altar that was made in honor of the Apostle. Continue on to Thessaloniki where your guided tour includes the Archaeological Museum. This museum contains artifacts from the Prehistoric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, and Roman periods and is one of the largest museums in all of Greece! Later today, prepare for the final performance of the tour which will take place tonight at a local venue such as the Poseidonian Protestant Church of Thessaloniki. (B,D) Day 11 Thessaloniki Today you will enjoy an excursion to Philippi and Kavala. Drive along the route of St. Paul, stopping for a photo opportunity at Amphipolis and Apollonia before arriving at your first stop- a visit to the ancient city and ruins of Philippi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then continue to Kavala, where you will have a chance to explore this coastal town. See the Turkish quarters as well as the incredible 16th century aqueduct. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner. (B,D) Day 12 Departure Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
