Our local expert will take you on a guided sightseeing tour of the city of Porto. One of the most ancient European cities, the dramatic streets and beautiful surrounding countryside have now been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, transfer to your venue to prepare for tonight’s concert performance!

Depart this morning for Aveiro, Portugal, known as “Little Venice” because of the boats that fill the channels winding through the city. Spend the afternoon exploring the city with your Encore Tour Manager.

This morning is yours to explore Aveiro at your own pace. Perhaps stroll along one of the many beaches or take a ride on the moliceiros, colourful boats traditionally used for seaweed-harvesting but now used for canal cruises, similar to the gondolas in Venice. This afternoon, depart for Lisbon and begin to unlock the secrets of this fascinating city, once the capital of the world’s greatest maritime empire.

In the morning a sightseeing tour with a local expert shows you the Monument of the Discoveries, Alfáma district, Rossio Square and St. George’s Castle before you enjoy a visit inside Jerónimos Monastery. Then in the afternoon you’ll learn more about the famed Portuguese ceramic tiles, or azulejos, that you’ve been seeing across the city—decorate your own piece during a hands-on ceramic tile workshop. Tonight, perform your next concert performance for the people of Portugal!

This morning, check out of your hotel in Lisbon and travel south to the Algarve region. Visit the beautiful coastal city of Albufeira, a former fishing village that has become a bustling destination, with gorgeous sandy beaches. The marina is surrounded by candy-colored apartments, with a lovely waterfront promenade. Enjoy time in Albufeira for lunch and exploration then continue to Faro.

Visit the coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril. Cascais is a small and picturesque fishing town where you can enjoy the natural beauty and the Fort of Cascais, built to protect the city from pirate invasions. Estoril was once a small spa town conveniently placed between Lisbon and Cascais that became well known as a prime residence for several European royal exiles. At its height, its visitors knew Estoril as the “Portuguese Riviera”. Later this afternoon, rehearse for tonight’s final concert performance!
